Founded in 1920, the University of New Haven is located in West Haven, Connecticut, on a campus of approximately 122 acres. The university is made up of six colleges and schools like the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts and the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences. University of New Haven Accreditation Details

University of New Haven Application Requirements
Undergraduate students applying to the University of New Haven must submit the online application, an official certified copy of the student’s high school records, a personal essay, and a letter of recommendation. Standardized test scores from the SAT or ACT are also required. Applications are required by June 1st for the fall semester or November 1st for the spring semester.
Application requirements for the University of New Haven’s graduate programs include the completed online application, a $50 application fee, and official transcripts from all universities attended. Students must also submit two letters of recommendation, proof of having earned a bachelor’s degree, and a statement of purpose. The university also recommends that students submit a resume, and some majors must also submit standardized test scores from the GRE or GMAT.
Tuition and Financial Aid
The university indicates that its tuition rates are based on the enrollment status of the student and the number of credit hours taken. Undergraduate tuition and fees include a one-time enrollment fee of $300 and a housing deposit of $200. Students taking 12 to 17 credits will pay $19,500 per semester or a yearly total in tuition of $39,000. Students may also need to pay a student health insurance fee of $1,500 and a general student fee of $1,440 for the year.
For graduate students, a tuition deposit of $300 is required, and graduate tuition is $915 per credit hour for on-campus and online students. Online course fees of $25 are also assessed per credit hour, and a general fee of $220 is also required each year for full-time graduate students. Some programs feature yearly tuition rather than per-credit tuition. The M.S. in Taxation is $27,450 for the program total, and the Executive MBA is $62,720. Students can also audit a class for $100 if they’re alumni of the school or $150 if they’ve never attended classes.
Financial aid is available to students who submit an application for federal student aid. Students are welcome to call the university if they have questions about their eligibility for financial aid. Some of the financial aid options that a student may qualify for include Federal Pell Grants, the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, and grants offered directly from the university.
Federal Pell Grants are available in amounts that vary from $636 to $6,195. In addition to need-based aid from the university, students who participate in sports may qualify for athletic grant-in-aid for playing sports like baseball, basketball, soccer, and lacrosse. Aid for tuition at the University of New Haven may also include unsubsidized or subsidized student loans.
