For instance, a student earning an M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction can then choose to pursue general studies, educational technology, English, math, or science. The special education degree is broken down into either a challenging behaviors track or an administration track. The M.Ed. in School Counseling requires the most credits out of all the M.Ed. degrees and students can complete the program in as few as 12 months excluding two practicum and/or clinical experiences. The master’s programs build on the students’ classroom teaching experiences as they learn the strategies and theories needed to service within the educational system.
