Online learning at DeSales University provides the same quality of education as an in-person experience. The goals within a virtual classroom are exactly the same. Students still have access to a collaborative learning environment. DeSales University online offers either synchronous or asynchronous classes. With synchronous classes, students share the learning space at the same time as their other virtual classmates. Whereas, with asynchronous courses, classmates still share the same experience except they can participate whenever it is convenient for their schedule. Students can opt to have a blend of synchronous and asynchronous courses as well. This option can optimize the way information is absorbed. DeSales University also offers flex classes which can be enjoyed either in person or online. If for any reason a student cannot make it to campus, their classes are available virtually for that day. To participate in a flex course students must have access to a webcam as well as a microphone. Updated technology is necessary in order to meet the technical requirements for online and hybrid learning curriculums.
