Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is a private institution with campuses in Florida and Arizona. The school was founded in 1926 in Ohio as the Embry-Riddle Flying School and would operate for a few years until it closed. In the late 1930s, the school would open again with a new campus in Miami, Florida. The school was initially focused on flight training when it reopened, but it would become a non-profit school in the late 1950s and become a university in the late 1960s.

The official colors of the university are blue and gold, and the school’s mascot is Ernie the Eagle. Applications to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University may be sent at any time of the year since the school has rolling admissions for its fall, spring, and summer terms. The application fee is $50, and the university recommends that students begin the application process as early as possible or at least 50 days before the beginning of their desired semester of entry. Graduate students will also pay $50 for the application fee.
