About Lasell College

Lasell College was established in September 1851 by chemistry professor Edward Lasell as Auburndale Female Seminary, America’s first two-year women’s college. The next year, it was renamed after its founder passed from typhoid. During Charles C. Bragdon’s tenure, Lasell granted its first associate degree and became a renowned finishing school tied to Harvard. By 1997, the private, nonsectarian ECAC member adopted coed admission and started bachelor’s study. Lasell College Accreditation Details

In March 2013, Lasell College passed an institutional evaluation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on Institutes of Higher Education to retain Level III accreditation for another 10 years under its ninth president, Dr. Michael B. Alexander. Located just 15 miles north in Burlington, this six-state, CHEA-recognized Northeast accreditor is authorized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to check the quality of Lasell’s 42 baccalaureates, 22 master’s, and nine certificate programs. Lasell College Application Requirements

Entering Lasell College is deemed “moderately difficult” by Peterson’s because 78 percent of the 3,221 Fall 2016 applicants were given acceptance letters. Post-grad Lasers must display academic potential for an online master during their accredited baccalaureate foundation. Some programs specify an exact B.A./B.S. major or coursework. For example, the Online MS in Rehabilitation Science needs eight credits of Anatomy, four credits of Kinesiology, and three credits of Statistics. The Online MS in Nutrition for Human Performance adds one Chemistry course with lab work. Early-career graduates must have held a minimum 3.0 GPA. Lower grades are only accepted with 3+ years of relevant professional experience. Sending GRE/GMAT results is completely voluntary. English learners must reach ILSC Level A1, receive a 5.5 IELTS mark, or report a 71 TOEFL iBT score.

Lasell College conveniently has rolling admission for its six online semesters starting in January, March, May, July, September, and October. For 2017-18, Lasell College billed average annual graduate tuition of $10,800 full-time. Traditional master’s students add the $650 comprehensive fee each semester. Suite-style living at the Newton campus’ facilities like Butterworth Hall cost $15,400 yearly. Annual master’s attendance on-campus equals roughly $27,500. However, the Online Learning Division does things differently by billing $600 per credit. The comprehensive fee is discounted to $40 per session too. Expect 36-credit online degrees like the MS in Parks and Recreation or MS in Human Resources Management to charge just $21,780 total.

According to the NCES College Navigator, 98 percent of full-time Lasell Lasers share $37.32 million combined yearly for median financial aid offers of $21,368 apiece.
