Admission requirements for students who want to attend West Virginia University include having taken four units of English, three units of math, and additional courses in physical science, social science, and a foreign language. Room and board expenses are $10,284 for all students. The rate for room and board is based on a double occupancy room and a meal plan of 15 meals each week. The tuition rates are based on a credit load of at least 12 credits each semester.
Tuition for graduate students at West Virginia University is based on the department and program in which a student enrolls. Tuition rates are $490 per credit for residents and $1,380 for non-residents, but the university fees and departmental tuition are extra. For example, College of Engineering students will pay a total of $644 per credit if they’re residents and $15,73 per credit if they’re non-residents when fees and department tuition are added to the base rate.
Students who want to apply for financial aid to help with tuition costs at West Virginia University should submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the priority deadline of March 1. The deadline applies to all types of financial aid, including loans, grants, and scholarships.
