Graduate students who choose the Master of Business Administration will need to complete a total of 36 credit hours, as well as a business administration capstone project. Some of the classes students must take include Accounting for Decision Makers, Managerial Finance, Applied Managerial Statistics, and Business Policy and Decision Making. The program allows students to take a handful of electives on topics like information technology, economics, and sales.

Applicants to Everglades University who choose the Master’s Degree in Aviation Science should have a goal of working as flight crewmembers, maintenance technicians, air traffic controllers, or airline management personnel. The Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship is a 36-credit degree program that the university suggests students may complete in approximately 48 weeks or 12 months. Everglades University was once known as the American Flyers College and was founded in 1990. The university would see its name changed to Everglades University in 1999 when it was purchased by Arthur and Belinda Keiser. The university’s main campus is located in Boca Raton, Florida, and there are around 1,500 students that attend the school. There are also satellite campuses located throughout the state.

The university offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs from its Boca Raton location, as well as campuses in Sarasota, Maitland, Orlando, and Tampa. The school is a private institution with more than 200 academic staff members. Its degrees are offered online and on campus. The university boasts that it offers instruction within small classes and that it also caters to adult learners. Classes are offered over the course of a month. The university has an acceptance rate of approximately 74 percent.

Everglades University Accreditation Details

Everglades University was awarded regional accreditation status in 2010 when it was officially approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCC). Approval from the SACSCC allowed the university to award accredited bachelor’s and master’s degrees. The university was most recently reaccredited in 2015 and will undertake the process again in 2025 as part of the 10-year reaffirmation approval cycle.

The university is also listed with the Commission for Independent Education, which is located in Tallahassee. Everglades University Application Requirements

To qualify for admission as an undergraduate student, applicants to Everglades University must complete the official application for admission and verify that they have graduated from high school or have received a GED. Successful admission also requires completion of the university’s entrance exam, a composite score of at least 17 on the ACT, or a score of 800 or above on the SAT. There is also an application fee of $50.

For graduate students, the application process requires the application for admission, official transcripts from a bachelor’s degree program that is accredited by a regional accrediting agency, and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above for the student’s undergraduate degree program. Applicants must also take the GRE and obtain a score of at least 290 or the GMAT and obtain a score of at least 500 to qualify for admission.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition for students at Everglades University is $730 per credit for undergraduate courses. The university estimates that students who take 12 credits will pay $8,760 per semester as undergraduate students. The cost for graduate courses is $800 per credit, and students will pay approximately $9,600 per semester for graduate study. Each semester lasts 16 weeks. Students who maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 are eligible to take additional classes with a course load of up to 18 credits per semester.

There are some additional fees that students may need to cover when they enroll. Those fees include the one-time application fee of $50 and the one-time registration fee of $145. Students may also need to pay a $1,000 lab fee for each laboratory course they take. Students who don’t enroll in a full-time course load of at least 12 credits will pay a different amount for tuition. Students who take nine credits will pay $6,570 per semester, students who take six credits will pay $4,380 per semester, and students who take three credits will pay $2,190 per semester.

Students who want to apply for financial aid will need to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid and contact the university’s Financial Services Department for assistance in applying for education expenses. Financial aid applications are made through the official website for the Department of Education, but students will work with the university directly in applying for and receiving federal student loan assistance.

Enrollees who are residents of Florida may be approved for some of the state programs for grants and scholarships. A few of the scholarships that students may qualify for at Everglades University include the Everglades University Academic Scholarship or the Southeastern Institute Graduate Scholarship.
